Cape Coast is one of the historic cities in the world. It is known for its role in the transatlantic slave trade. 2019 was dubbed ‘Year of Return’ for Ghana and we rightly capitalised on the campaign to educate the world on some history facts about our city and Region.
We crowned our year long history campaign with a tour to 4 significant tourist sites;
1. Mankessim Pusuban Shrine ⛩
2. Cape Coast Castle
3. Kakum National park
4. Crocodile Pond
Participants included Foreigners and Ghanaians returning from the Diaspora to discover their roots. It was indeed a memorable experience for these participants. We will organise another educative tour this year. It is a good feeling to know your roots.
